Exploding head

Alex has not been doing something called a “Daily warm up” for his science class – so last week I told him to make sure that he answer these little questions each and every day. Last night while going through his backpack to see what was due – we found what? His Daily warm up sheet with nothing on it. Oh, he says, I was late to class because I had lunch duty. Why did you have lunch duty today? Aahhhhh wellll, I welll, because I was playing tag in the hall. And why are the other day’s not filled in? Because, I – well – I – Because I am talking with the guy next to me. Really!!!! And does he get the warm up completed???? I ask. Yes. How come he gets it finished and you don’t????? I ask, as my head starts to balloon and more of my hair falls out. Because he gets to class before me. Why do you get to class later then him? Because – I am – Because I – well – because I am talking to other friends in the hall before class. Did I not tell you to work on these every day like the teacher wants???? Yes. And why aren’t you??? I don’t know? You don’t know!!! Then just “DO IT” I say – as my head explodes. Yes Dad..

Of course, looking back I was most likely the same way at that age.

Veterans day

Veterans day went well (I Think) at the school. Sounds like some kids were a bit snotty about having vets at school. Of all the silly social crap that gets shoved into kids these days I would have thought that respect for our veterans would be important enough that the kids would all act appropriately.   At any rate, it was great that the school had Veterans stop into the classes. Alex had Grandpa Dan stop by. I think Alex was proud to have his grandfather stop in class. Dan was the only world war two veteran. Dan seemed to enjoy meeting some of the other veteran that had been in different wars. I think it was good for everyone to spend a little time hearing from them and hearing how important it is to serve our country.

We tortured Melinda

So we tortured Melinda yesterday and made her spend a few minutes in Sunday school at the church we have been going to for the last month. They have a few classes, split up into different age groups. The kids can have their class while the adults are attending service. Melinda had been going to service with us instead of going to class. Yesterday we introduced her to the Lady that ran the class for her age group and Melinda was escorted to class – we pulled her out just a few minutes later. It was too long for her. Melinda gave us the silent treatment for the rest of the morning.

Hacked

So I have a few tings I would like to write about but have been spending my time trying to get red of the jerk that hacked into my blog.  I truly believe that these people should be hunted down.    To think of all the time and money wasted in our world trying to stop hackers or clean up after them.   And do they truly have nothing better to do with their talent.   What a wast.

and in other news!!!! I will be back on the school issues tomorrow.
